Good Ticket Sales for State Fair Grantstand Shows
Ticket sales for Illinois State Fair concerts are "awesome." So says state fair manager Amy Bliefnick. She explains that all of the good seats country group Lady Antebellum (Aug. 13) are gone, and that the next hottest concert is that of Selena Gomez (Aug. 21), the teen sensation.

Another musical offering that Bliefnick is excited about is "Million Dollar Quartet," a musical production about a 1956 jam session among Elvis Pressley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. That performance is on Aug. 16, just before the Illinois Symphony concert. Both "Million Dollar Quartet" and the symphony are free.

Other concerts:

* The Original KISS Army with Journey Unauthorized--Aug. 14
* Shinedown--Aug. 15
* MercyMe--Aug. 17
* Blake Shelton--Aug. 18
* Cheap Trick with Blondie--Aug. 20
* Darius Rucker--Aug. 21.

Grandstand sales make up a huge chunk of the fair's income.
