Corruption Causes Hesitation
The governor is still waiting to get his hands on the 400 page gambling expansion bill.

Governor Quinn says the senate has kept it since May 31st, but he expects to review it soon.

Nevertheless Quinn is still willing to to pass judgement on the issue.

"We have thirteen million people. We want to do things right, we don't want any corruption, we don't want any gambling corruption," he says. "I want to make sure all the rules and regulations are set forth and we have proper oversight, we can't have situations that get out of control that infect our politics and ruin lots of people in Illinois."

Quinn tells WGIL that as governor of Illinois he must protect the state's public interest.

Governor Quinn says he wants the people of Illinois to call the shots, and not the political figures.

Quinn says the state is open to all possibilities in landing a casino somewhere in Illinois, including Galesburg.
