Former Ill. Officer Imprisoned For Porn, Assault
DECATUR, Ill. (AP) -- A former central Illinois policeman will spend at least 17 years in prison for sexually assaulting a young girl and forcing her to pose for pornographic photos.

The (Decatur) Herald & Review reports that former Warrensburg officer Douglas Spensley was sentenced Wednesday in Macon County to 10 years in prison after pleading pleaded guilty to predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. That will be served after a 10-year federal sentence for child pornography. He must serve at least 85 percent of the sentences.

Assistant State's Attorney Brian Shaw says Spensely was a friend of the girl's family and assaulted her at his home in October 2009.

Spensley was a part-time officer in Warrensburg at the time. The town is 5 miles northwest of Decatur.
