Walsh: I'll Privately Fight Child Support Claims
WAUCONDA, Ill. (AP) -- Congressman Joe Walsh has told northern Illinois constituents he plans to ``privately and legally'' fight claims he owes his ex-wife more than $100,000 in child support.

Walsh held a town hall meeting Thursday in Wauconda, the first of 10 he plans to hold over 10 days. A second event is set for Friday.

A recent Chicago Sun-Times article revealed that Walsh's ex-wife is suing him for $117,000 in unpaid child support.

Walsh told constituents that the piece was ``wildly inaccurate'' and he plans to fight to clear his name.

He also discussed his vote against the debt plan, the economy and President Barack Obama's policies.

Walsh has been a rising star in the tea party movement and is best known nationwide for his blistering lectures on the president's fiscal policies.
