Theft Investigated at Knox College
Two computer monitors and accessories labeled property of "Knox College" were found in a black bag on Knox College property early Tuesday.

Galesburg Police were called to 260 West Tompkins Street at 1am Tuesday after a Knox employee made contact with the subject who left the bag.

The employee says the subject was having trouble keeping his balance on a bicycle as he rode down the street. The employee told police the subject looked drunk and fell several times.

Police say it was after the employee asked if the subject was all right, that the subject dropped the bag and headed westbound on Tompkins.

The employee notified police that there have been run-ins with the subject before, and that he may have an I.D. on the subject.

Police are further investigating the burglary and Knox College security will review surveillance on the suspect.
