1 Arrested Following Early Morning Stabbing
UPDATED 4:30pm 8/21/12 Galesburg Police say one person is arrested in connection with a reported stabbing that happened early Tuesday morning, and that it didn't happen where the victim says it happened.

Galesburg Police reports indicate officers responded to the 1700 block of Indiana Drive around 1:45 Tuesday morning. Officers found the victim -- a 45-year old male -- in the backyard of the home.

Officers discovered what appeared to be stab wounds in at least three areas of the man's body. The man claims he was outside drinking when someone stabbed him.

Reports say problem is, the victim couldn't identify the attacker and couldn't say where the person went.

Officers say they later discovered blood in the man's car, and a flat front tire. A day-long investigation determined that the stabbing happened during a domestic situation in the 300 block of Indiana Avenue, which led to the arrest of 30-year old Christina Ahearn on charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery.

The victim was taken to a Galesburg hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. And an investigation into the matter continues.

Ahearn is jailed pending future court dates.
