Authorities Raid Home, Allegedly Find Cocaine
Galesburg and area police raided a local home Wednesday night and are believed to have found drugs and other items.

Police reports indicate officers from the Multi-County Narcotics Enforcement Group and the West Central Illinois Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the one-hundred block of Sumner Street around 8:30pm Wednesday.

An occupant in the home -- 39-year old Christie Harris -- told authorities a friend dropped off a black backpack at the home that authorities may be looking for, and that the 30-year old suspect comes over once a day.

Police say Harris directed agents to a bedroom, where the backpack was found. In it, they say they found bags with what they said was numerous chunks of cocaine, along with some bullets for a 9-millimeter gun, a cork, safety glasses, and other things.

Harris was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver.

She was taken to the Knox County Jail pending future court dates.
