City Council Talks Goals Monday Night
Just how has the Galesburg City Council lived up to its goals and objectives? That's a question that could be answered Monday.

The City Council is holding yet another of its almost monthly work sessions Monday evening. This one, according to agenda documents, deals with the city's goals and objectives that were formed not long after Todd Thompson took over as City Manager last year.

The goals were developed over a year ago, but weren't put into action until the current budget cycle. And even still, alderman have had vigorous debate in recent months, with plenty of opposition and division on some items.

The City Council meets at 5:30pm Monday inside council chambers.

Meanwhile, both the Knoxville City Council and Knoxville School Board hold special meetings Monday as well. The City Council will deal with documents for a proposed loan to rehab their water system, and more talk about the proposed new Knoxville High School will dominate the school board discussion. Both meetings start at 6pm.
