Guilty Plea in Robbery at Local Store
A man whom court records claim is homeless has pleaded guilty to charges accusing him of trying to hold up a Dollar General store earlier this year.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate 54-year old Larry Wall, believed to be a resident of Moline, pleaded guilty in court Wednesday to a single count of robbery.

In exchange, prosecutors dismissed a more serious Class-X felony count of armed robbery, and another felony charge of Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Wall was arrested in early March, after police responded to the Dollar General store on North Henderson Street.

Police allege Wall displayed a knife and demanded cash. He alleged got away with just over one-hundred dollars in cash and a container of denture adhesive.

Wall was sentenced to four years in prison with credit for 181 days served in the Knox County Jail.

He must also serve two years on parole once he's released from custody.
