Don't Get Used to Saturday's Rain
It rained Saturday, but not like some areas either to the north or south for the most part.

A line of thunderstorms made their way through the area in the early afternoon hours Saturday, and caused severe conditions in the Quad Cities area, and in Central Illinois, but Knox County was for the most part left unscathed.

There were reports of wind gusts near 60 miles per hour in those areas, which saw over an inch of rain fall in around 40 minutes.

The closest storm damage to this area was in Stark County, where the National Weather Service says power was out for a time in Toulon, and some trees fell.

No such reports of storm damage were in Knox or Warren Counties, and while precipitation reports aren't available, it likely didn't do much to quell any drought concerns.

A full week of dry conditions is in the forecast for the next week, and outside of a high in the 90's Tuesday, temperatures will stay mostly in the upper 80's.
