Woman Dead After Henry County Accident
A woman is dead following a crash not far from Knox County Tuesday morning.

The Henry County Sheriffs Department says a single vehicle crash was reported at Illinois 17 just east of Woodhull around 6am Tuesday.

They say a 20-year old resident of Galva was headed west when the vehicle left the north side of the road and rolled into a corn field.

Deputies say the woman -- whose name is not yet being released -- was ejected from the 2001 Pontiac Grand Am, and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henry County Coroner.

It's not clear exactly what happened to cause the crash, or if the woman was the only one in the vehicle.

Henry County Sheriffs Deputies say the fatal crash remains under investigation.
