First Lincoln-Douglas, Now Durbin-Sauerberg at Knox College; WGIL to Broadcast Debate Live
Close to the anniversary of the Lincoln-Douglas debate at Knox College in Galesburg, the institution will host another debate of candidates for Senate.

The Illinois Radio Network Debate between incumbent Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, and Dr. Steve Sauerberg will be Thursday, October 9th, from 8-9pm on the Knox College Campus with an audience made up of Knox College students and faculty. The event will not be open to the general public, but will be broadcast on Galesburg Radio 14 WGIL. The Lincoln-Douglas Debate at Knox was held October 7th, 150 years ago.

It will be the second debate between the two candidates; the first will be held earlier in Chicago at the studios of a Chicago public television station.
