CSC Foundation Awards Several Scholarships
Carl Sandburg College's Foundation has awarded a number of scholarships to area individuals.

The Carl Sandburg College Foundation has awarded Josh Mettler, of Monmouth, the Office Specialists, LLC Scholarship for $500. This scholarship is awarded to a student in the Computer Information Systems or Computer Networking programs at CSC. The recipient must live in Knox or Warren Counties and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Mettler is pursing a computer information degree while attending CSC.

The Knox County Voitures/Forty & Eight Nursing Scholarship given through the Carl Sandburg College Foundation has been awarded to four CSC students.

Mary Bloomgren, of Galesburg; Amy Bronaugh, of Galesburg; Lauren Lehr, of Knoxville; and Tonya Moore, of Galesburg, were each awarded a $500 scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

This scholarship provides financial assistance to second-year nursing students.

The Rebecca Parke Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution has provided scholarships through the Carl Sandburg College Foundation for three CSC students.

Kristin Niehoff, of Galesburg, received the endowed scholarship awarded to a full-time student in the education field. Preference is given to students planning to transfer to a four-year institution. The recipient must have at least a 2.55 GPA and should be a resident of Knox County.

Randi Parcil, of Galesburg, received an annual scholarship awarded to a female Knox County resident, over 25 years of age and returning to school full-time. Recipients must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Amy Bronaugh, of Galesburg, received an annual scholarship awarded to a veteran who has served and has been honorably discharged or is presently serving in the military. The recipient must be a Knox County resident and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
