Former City Employee Arrested on Theft Charges
A Galesburg woman who served as the supervisor of the city-run Allison Lake Storey Campground is facing a felony charge, accused of stealing.

City officials say 35-year old Lacey Lamb was arrested on a warrant charging her with Theft from a Governmental Agency. Her bond was set at $10,000.

Officials say internal controls by the city treasurer's office uncovered discrepancies in the receipts for campground stays beginning last May. Treasurer Marv Dahlberg noted irregularities in the reported receipts after funds had been turned over to his office for deposit on September 15th.

Officials say further investigation by Dahlberg's office and Galesburg police found that an undisclosed amount in cash receipts has been stolen by Lamb. The theft charge against Lamb is a Class 2 felony.

Lamb, who is free on bond, is due to appear in Knox County Circuit Court on November 3rd.
