Increased Patrols at U of I Following Alleged Sexual Assault
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Police on campus at the University of Illinois say they've increased their patrols after an 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted.

Police on the Champaign-Urbana campus said the assault occurred early Sunday. The campus director of public safety, Barbara O'Connor, urged caution in a Sunday email to school faculty, staff and students.

Authorities say the woman was attacked at 12:45 a.m. Sunday. Police say a man grabbed her and pulled her into nearby bushes and assaulted her. The woman is not a student at the university and she could not give police a description of her attacker. She was treated at south suburban Chicago hospital.
