Deer Hunting Changes This Season
In a couple of months, Illinois deer hunters will be out. And the Department of Natural Resources is implementing a few changes - some of which will mean more chances for hunters.

The late-winter season and five-county chronic wasting season are expanding to seven days. Both are Dec. 31-Jan. 3 and Jan. 15-17. The firearm season is Nov. 20-22 and Dec. 5-6, while the muzzleloader season is Dec. 11-13.

Firearm and muzzleloader permits that are still available after the close of the random daily drawing period for those permits (Sept. 15-Oct. 1) will be sold over the counter through DNR direct license and permit agents beginning Oct. 19.
