Two Accused in Suspected Meth-Related Police Chase Back in Court
A Knox County judge has found probable cause for two of three men arrested following a two-county police chase to be tried on felony drug and other charges.

Judge Dwayne Morrison Tuesday made the determination in the cases of 37-year old David Fowler and 22-year old Steven Charles.

They both each face a half-dozen felony charges, including participation in methamphetamine production, possession of meth-manufacturing materials, possession of meth, meth conspiracy, possession of anhydrous ammonia, and others.

Knox County Sheriffs Deputies found an item used in meth-making last month along the road near Saint Joseph Road and Knox County Road 100 East. When the vehicle the two were allegedly in came back to retrieve it, police gave chase. Officials say that chase reached speeds of 90 miles per hour, and went through Abingdon in Knox County, and Berwick in Warren County before the car was ditched in a field outside Berwick.

The two, along with 18-year old Timothy Olson, were arrested later.

Both Fowler and Charles entered not guilty pleas and demanded trials by jury.

Fowler is scheduled to be in Knox County Circuit Court again October 22nd for a status hearing and November 3rd for a pre-trial conference, and remains jailed on $50,000 bond.

Charles' next court date is a December 7th pre-trial conference, and he's incarcerated on $100,000 bond.
