Friends Remember Slain Central IL Family
Friends of the family members killed in their home in the Logan County town of Beason laugh and cry as they remember the victims.

Police are investigating the deaths of Raymond "Rick" Gee, 46, Ruth Gee, 39, Justina Constant, 16, Dillen Constant, 14, and Austin Gee, 11. A fourth child, 3-year-old Tabitha Gee, remains hospitalized in Peoria. The bodies were discovered Monday after the children did not show up for school that day. The Logan County sheriff, Steve Nichols, says police are looking for a gray-primered pickup truck seen in Beason Sunday.

Marjorie Wright laughed as she remembered sharing fresh zucchini rings with her friend Ruth, with little Tabitha shoving the rings into her pocket because she did not care for them.

Wright's daughter, 17-year-old Stormee Whitney, says Justina was a "true friend" who was ridiculed at Lincoln Community High School because of her special needs. Whitney says Justina had had plastic surgery on her skull because of a birth defect.

Wright says it's possible the Gees left their back door open. She says most people in Beason left doors unlocked, until now.
