Poll: Most Voters Agree With Blago Retrial
CHICAGO (AP) -- A new poll finds that 54 percent of Illinois voters agree with federal prosecutors' decision to retry impeached Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

The Chicago Tribune/WGN-TV poll found that 37 percent disagreed with the decision. An additional 10 percent had no opinion.

Prosecutors decided to retry Blagojevich after jurors deadlocked on 23 of 24 charges, including allegations that he schemed to sell or trade an appointment to President Barack Obama's former Senate seat.

Jurors found Blagojevich guilty of lying to the FBI.

The survey of 600 registered Illinois voters was conducted Aug. 28 to Sept. 1. The margin of error was 4 percentage points.
