Agreement Reached on DNA Testing in Beason Murder Case
LINCOLN, Ill. (AP) -- An agreement has been reached regarding DNA testing on about 80 pieces of evidence in the case of two brothers accused of killing a Beason couple and three of their children.

Defense attorneys for 31-year-old Christopher Harris and 22-year-old Jason Harris both of Armington agreed in court Friday on a process for the DNA testing. The Pantagraph newspaper in Bloomington reports that the DNA testing is to be done in batches.

Defense attorney Tim Timoney says the agreement provides protections for evidence that is so small it will be consumed during testing.

The Harris brothers are charged with multiple counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Ruth and Rick Gee and their children. The Gees' bodies were found in their home last September.
