City Council to Reconsider Website Contract Monday
A vote tabled two weeks ago by the Galesburg City Council could likely end up being positive if the city gets its way tonight.

Aldermen tonight are expected to take up the proposed $29,000 contract with suburban Chicago based American Eagle.com to do a top to bottom revamp of the city's website.

Aldermen attended a teleconference with the firm Friday morning. American Eagle.com has a number of governmental clients and others in business and industry, and the firm said they can meet the needs of both the city council, and in the public in rebuilding what many believe is a non user friendly website.

And Sixth Ward Alderman Wayne Allen tells WGIL that's good for him.

"I have received a tremendous amount of information that will probably help me change my mind and say let's move ahead with this project."

Allen said two weeks ago he couldn't vote for the plan because he hadn't received any information. Now, he tells WGIL he likes the information he's received
