Evidence Testimony Continues in Sheley Case
1pm UPDATE 9/16/11 More testimony about evidence collected from one of the crimes scenes has dominated most of the day Friday in the Nicholas Sheley murder case.

Nearly all of the testmiony has come from law enforcement officials in Missouri, except for a Rock Falls police detective, who says he delivered some evidence to a police department near St. Louis.

One official at the Metropolitan Saint Louis Crime Lab testified to taking blood stain and other samples from the truck Sheley allegedly stole from 65-year old Ronald Randall after allegedly killing him.

Another investigator said she discovered the keys to the truck under a garbage can near where the truck was located, and found the remote starter in the garbage.

Sheley ended up in Missouri the day before being arrested for Randall's murder.

Also Friday, prosecutors have said they will not rest their case today after all due to scheduling conflicts. They do say, however, they intent to rest by 10am Monday. They'd like to go over jury instructions with the judge this afternoon, but that remains to be seen.

We're still on track to end the case, though, by Wednesday.
