New Quilting Options Coming To Galesburg
Three new businesses will house the strip mall on 1580 East Knox Street in Galesburg: one a beauty salon, the other two will provide many options for quilters.

"Sweet Dreams Quilts" will not just sell quilts, but classes will be taught also. Bonnie Lockhart will run this store and be doing the teaching. Bernice Livingston is handling the services at "Quilting Bee," which will offer thousands of fabric choices for quilting. Livingston tells WGIL she discussed with Lockhart how to expand the quilting options at the plaza.

"We got to talking to her, my partner and I got to talking to her and we told her we wanted to sell fabric inside the building and she agreed to lease some of the space to us."

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be October third at 10 AM at the East Knox Street Strip Mall. All three businesses will officially be open after then.

Livingston says her store "Quilting Bee" and Lockhart's "Sweet Dreams Quilts" will be open from nine to five Mondays through Saturday.

She says Lockhart will sometimes teach quilting classes on the evenings and schedules could be picked up anytime at the store.
