Man Accused In Kiwanis Park Shooting Makes A Plea
The last of the six people arrested in connection to the fatal Kiwanis Park shooting has had another day in court.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate 23-year old Albert Carter was in court Wednesday for an arraignment hearing on charges including three-counts of first-degree murder accountability, in connection to the late-June death of 21-year old Jemell Ware.

Carter pleaded not guilty and asked for a trail by jury through public defender Dan O'Brien, appointed to the case after Jim Harrell withdrew due to a conflict.

Carter turned himself in to authorities several weeks ago.

An early December court date was scheduled for a pre-trial conference.

Carter was one of six fingered as having a role in the shooting death. One -- a 16-year old male -- pleaded guilty to lesser charges, and charges were mostly dropped against another.

Two-more face similar charges.

The man accused of actually firing the gun -- 46-year old Overton Fisher -- is scheduled for a court hearing in November.
