Individuals With Disabilities Experience New Fun
It was a day to raise awareness for disabilities, but also one for those disabled to experience something their disability inhibits them from doing.

Jerry Fields is the founder of the christian chapter Galesburg Locomotive who sponsored Saturday's event.

Fields says the Harley Davidsons brought by members of the Christian Motorcycle Association gave those with disabilities at the park an idea of what one would feel like.

"Purpose there is a lot of our friends have always desired to have their picture with a motorcycle," he says. "They just wanted to come around and support us, we have a professional photographer here. That's something they would love to have, a picture saying they've been near a motorcycle."

Fields says yesterday's bell choir performance by the friends also gave them a confidence booster.

He says people with disabilities are always looking for appreciation from the general public and Saturday gave them the opportunity through their performance at Standish Park.
