Arrest Made After Thursday Drug Bust
A Galesburg man is in trouble with the law for having drugs and weapons in a residence earlier this week.

Galesburg Police say officers along with the Multi-County Narcotics Enforcement Group conducted a legal search of a home in the 1000 block of East South Street on Thursday at an undisclosed time.

Officers believe the search turned up two handguns and ammunition, a small amount of cocaine, and 80-grams of cannabis.

22-year old Nathaniel Savage, whom police say lives there, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver, and Criminal Fortification of a Residence, all felonies.

A second person in the home was also arrested, but on a Knox County Warrant for a misdemeanor charge.

Savage and the other man were both taken to the Knox County Jail, where they await future court dates.
