Man Dead Following Rural Warren County Crash
A Kirkwood man is dead following a one-vehicle accident that likely happened early Friday morning in rural Warren County, but wasn't discovered until hours later.

State Police in Macomb say the crash is believed to have happened around 1:30 am on 50th Street, about a half-mile north of 110th Avenue.

Troopers say 30-year old Michael Ward was travelling in a pickup truck northbound on 50th Street when it went off the right side of the roadway, overturning, and coming to rest on the drivers side.

Ward was partially ejected from the vehicle and trapped under the truck's roof.

The crash wasn't located by troopers until about five hours later. The Warren County Coroner formally pronounced Ward dead about an hour after that.

Troopers say it doesn't appear that Ward was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
