Credit Union Expanding In Galesburg
They came, they saw, they conquered.

After months of scouting locations, the I-H Mississippi Valley Credit Union has found the spot for a second branch in Galesburg. Planning to break ground late this fall, Vice President of Marketing Laura Ernzen says the 8 acres purchased on West Carl Sandburg Drive opens the window for future opportunity.

"The entire site gave us the maximum opportunity to pick the best available location for this particular branch, to make it as conveinant as possible and give us some flexibility to look at some various inlets, outlets and things of that nature," she says.

"But ultimately it comes down to a lot of times where people come to do their financial business, it also makes for a great potential site for future businesses, so we wanted to allow for that possiblity as well."

Ernzen says the new branch will offer 24 hour ATM service, drive-up lanes, and a large community room.

She tells WGIL the addition comes as the IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union looks to expand on its great contingent in Western Illinois and the Quad Cities area.

The credit union is the sixth largest in the state.
