Autopsy: Husband, Wife Victims Of Double Homicide
PALOS PARK, Ill. (AP) -- Autopsy results show a Palos Park husband and wife who were found dead in their home were victims of double homicide.

The Cook County medical examiner ruled Monday that 44-year-old John Granat and 42-year-old Maria Granat died of multiple blunt force injuries and assault. Maria Granat also suffered sharp force injuries. They were found early Sunday in their southwest suburban Chicago home. The couple was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they found John Granat on the bedroom floor and Maria Granat on the bed. Authorities say someone inside the home called 911 to report the deaths, but police didn't identify the caller.

Police say they are investigating the deaths.
