Chamber Takes Concers to Washington
A letter addressed to Congress and the President from the US Chamber of Commerce regarding the current fiscal situation in the country now contains the signature of the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

Executive Director of the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce Steve Brody says the letter was e-mailed to him from the US Chamber of Commerce and after reviewing the details the Chamber decided it was in the best interest of the Galesburg area Businesses to sign it.

Brody tells WGIL because so many Chambers came together and signed the letter it shows this is a major national crisis that needs to dealt with.

"It's really a strong demonstration that this isn't just a state or local or regional, this is a national crisis and it's important for members of Congress and the President to see all of these groups stepping forward and demonstrating the necessity to have action taken."

Brody says it's important that Congress and the President work together to solve the fiscal crises so that people and business can get back to living the American Dream.
