The Tea Party Asks for Illinois' Help
The Tea Party Express pulled into Mercer County Saturday afternoon bring with them a number of speakers who were looking to rally support for their cause.

This was their Wining For America Tour their eighth national tour since 2009 and Chairman for the Tea Party Express Amy Kremer tells WGIL their purpose today was to get the word that things need to change in Washington.

"It's not working, the American people all know it and all across America their rising up and saying we're not doing this anymore. We want to make him a one term President and take back the United States Senate."

Kremer says this years elections is the most important election in our life time and in our nation's history. She says this election will determine the "fundamental direction of America."

She says the Tea Party is very strong and they can't be judged by the number of people who show up for their rallies or events but judge them on what happens on election day and says they will prove that November 6th.

Kremer says the Tea Party's a very simple issue oriented movement and people tend to engage when they are affected personally. She says the economy is not getting any better and American families are feeling it. She says they know what's happening in Washington is not working and we need to change the players.
