Taking a Trip Back in Time
Time travel is not something that is consider possible--unless you have stepped on to a restored 1930's Nebraska Zephyr Train.

Saturday morning train passengers did just that when they bored the Nebraska Zephyr Train headed for Galesburg and then onto Quincy.

The train stopped in Galesburg mid-afternoon to let folks off and others on who wanted to take the trip from Galesburg to Quincy and back again.

Passenger Mary Lee Corrin boarded the train with her husband in Chicago and stopped in Galesburg. She tells WGIL she was very surprised the train traveled as well as it did.

"I thought the trip was quite good. I didn't know what to expect because this equipment was old, it doesn't get out much at these speeds we were told and everything went quite well it really did."

Corrin says the interior was in a 1930's and 40's setting and even though she has the chance to wonder around and eat in the dinning cart her and her husband chose to not,but instead got off in Galesburg to spend the afternoon before returning to Chicago.
