Flu Shot Time is Upon Us
The peek flu season is the end of December through March but it's never too early to get your flu shot. The Knox County Health Department in heading out to Knox County bringing flu shots to the community.

Health Coordinator at the Knox County Health Department Erin Olson says they know it can be hard for people to get to the Health Department so they're trying to ease some of the pressure.

Olson tells the WGIL Morning New's who should get a flu shot.

"Anybody six months of age and older and then defiantly the people who have any medical conditions, the chronic conditions, asthma, diabetes, lung disease. Pregnant woman you need to make sure you talk to your physician before that and people 65 and older are the main people we want to get 'em."

Ages two to 18 can avoid a flu injection and opt for the nasal spray. They are also offering a Pneumonia shot that's a five year shot. Erin Olson say check with your doctor before getting that shot to make sure you haven't had it within the last five years.
