Getting Awareness About AIDS Out There
The HIV/AIDS Task Force of Western Illinois is hosting the 3-rd annual Aids Walk Galesburg this Saturday.

The Task Force's goal is to get awareness and education out to the community about the HIV/AIDS virus.

The Task Force's Rhonda Brady tells the WGIL Morning News over the recent years there is one age group that has been affected by this disease.

"The last few years unfortunately the highest increase in contractions are elderly folks, those over 60. They don't think, they don't have it on their radar. But sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS falls in that category can be effecting those people very much so.

The walk will start at 10 o'clock at Sandburg Mall and Inbinder Park.
