Bradley Baseball Player Dies of Hearth Problem
PEORIA, Ill. (AP) -- An autopsy has revealed that a Bradley University baseball player who died Monday morning was killed by an undiagnosed heart condition.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll told the Peoria Journal Star that 21-year-old junior Phil Kaiser had condition known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy that causes the heart's walls to thicken. Kaiser died early Monday morning at a local hospital.

Ingersoll said Kaiser's condition caused his heart to stop after he experienced an irregular heart beat.

Authorities said Kaiser was found unresponsive at his girlfriend's apartment around 2 a.m. Monday.

Kaiser is from Berwyn in the Chicago suburbs and has played two seasons for the Bradley baseball team and was studying communications and advertising.
