Scarecrows Line Standish Park
There is only one Galesburg stop along the Knox County Scenic Drive.
That is the Scarecrow Festival in Standish Park.

The event happened the first weekend of the Scenic Drive only.

Co-chair of the event, Amye Bean, tells WGIL the event is already a success.

"This year is the most vendors we have had. I believe there's about 20 vendors. We have everything from the scentsy candles, the Hawthorne Mall Crafts, we have Premier Jewelry, Relay for Life is doing a fundraiser, the Community Chorus is doing a fundraiser too."

Of course there were plenty of scarecrows as well. More than 20 scarecrows of all types lined the sidewalks of Standish Park.

A Nemo fish from the Disney movie could been scene, as well as a scarecrow vampire snowman, and look-a-likes of Elvis Presly and "Marilyn Mon-crow."

Winners of the categories will be announced Sunday at 4:30.
