Blackhawks License Plates Now Available
(IRN)-Drivers can now order bright red Chicago Blackhawks license plates for their vehicles.

The plates, for which orders are now being taken, feature the Blackhawks' Indian head logo. They are the first under a 2002 law that allows special license plates for pro sports teams. Any pro sports team in Illinois or the St. Louis area can have Illinois license plates made with their colors and logo.

The plates cost $40 on top of the normal $99 registration fee, with the bulk of the proceeds going to the common school fund.

Orders will be shipped starting Nov. 10. Fans who attend the Blackhawks game that night can buy one on the spot.
