Robber Allegedly Drove Victim to ATM's
PEORIA, Ill. (AP) -- Police in Peoria say they are investigating a report that a robber held up a man at gunpoint and then drove his victim around the city to cash machines to withdraw more money.

The victim told police he had just gotten out of his car near his home Thursday evening when a man robbed him at gunpoint.

The Peoria Journal Star reports that the robber then forced the victim back into his car and drove him to four automated teller machines.

The victim withdrew an undisclosed amount from each machine, though he was eventually denied any further withdrawals because his account was empty.

The victim says the robber then drove him to an Interstate 74 overpass, where he fled on foot.

The victim was not injured.
