Moffitt, Risinger in Brady Administration?
There's apparently speculation that two local lawmakers would be part of a Bill Brady administration if he's elected Governor.

Brady addressed that speculation while campaigning before a crowd of Republicans in Galesburg at Lake Storey yesterday afternoon.

Reporters have heard that State Representative Don Moffitt and State Senator Dale Risinger could be tapped for state posts if Brady defeats incumbent Pat Quinn and several other candidates, but Brady tells WGIL who knows who will get promotions of sorts.

"There are no individuals more qualified than both Dale and Don in state government," Brady said. "They certainly have served their districts well. But it's premature to be looking at who we're going to be bringing in to run various divisions and departments."

For their part, both Moffitt and Risinger are up for re-election this November. Moffitt faces Galva Republican Elizabeth Double for the 74th District House seat, and Risinger is unopposed in his bid for the 37th District State Senate seat.

So at the very least until some sort of special election, if they both were to win and were picked by Brady, their seats would stay in Republican hands.
