Poll: Quinn Gains Ground on Brady
CHICAGO (AP) -- A new poll shows that Governor Pat Quinn has gained some ground on his Republican challenger Bill Brady in the race for Illinois governor.

The Chicago Tribune/WGN-TV poll of 600 registered voters shows Quinn with the support of 39 percent of those questioned, while 38 percent prefer Brady. The poll has an error margin of 4 percentage points, which means the candidates are in a virtual tie.

But the poll results are a big improvement for Quinn, who was behind in a pre-Labor Day Chicago Tribune/WGN-TV survey. That poll showed had Brady leading Quinn 37 percent to 32 percent.

The latest survey was conducted Sept. 24-28. The poll also shows that independent Scott Lee Cohen is the pick for 4 percent of likely voters, while Green Party candidate Rich Whitney got 3 percent and Libertarian Lex Green had 2 percent.<
