Brady Says Quinn Worse Than Blagojevich
(IRN)-State Senator Bill Brady says his opponent, Governor Pat Quinn, has pulled off what sounds like an incredible accomplishment: he's a worse governor than the impeached and convicted Rod Blagojevich.

"The decisions Governor Quinn seems to make are more concerned about his political crisis than they do the fiscal crisis of the state," Brady told reporters during a campaign stop in Taylorville. Brady says Quinn's the most incompetent governor Illinois has had since Brady got into politics: "In terms of fiscal mismanagement, this administration is far worse than the Blagojevich six years."

Brady says his administration will be about openness, even with running mate Jason Plummer shielding his tax returns. Brady says Plummer's secrecy is nothing compared to the entire Quinn government. As for Plummer, he says he has filed the same economic interest disclosures all other politicians must complete. He and Brady agree the private-sector experience they bring outweigh the political experience of the Democratic ticket.

Quinn and Democratic lieutenant governor nominee Sheila Simon have released copies of their tax returns. Brady allowed the press to view his returns for a brief time.
