Quinn: I'm Not "Worst Governor Ever"
(IRN) -- Gov. Pat Quinn is defending himself against an attack his Republican opponent in the governor's race made about him.

Name calling is nothing new in politics, but Quinn says State Sen. Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) is completely wrong when he called Quinn the "worst governor ever" at a campaign stop Thursday in Taylorville.

Speaking with reporters in Chicago Friday, Quinn says Brady can call him every name in the book, but his record speaks for itself.

"The bottom line is when I came in...we've stabilized the situation, we've enacted strong ethics laws and we're enforcing them, we're getting our economy back on track, we have a long way to go but we've made progress and we're gonna make sure that we get our state moving in the right direction," Quinn said.

Quinn points to Brady's talk of borrowing $50 billion to pay pension funds as who is the better choice for governor. He calls the borrowing idea preposterous.
