Check Written To Churchill Junior High
The Galesburg Public School Foundation just keeps on giving.

Churchill Junior High's morning mentoring program called "The Breakfast Club" was funded by an expiring state grant, and the Social Emotional Learning Committee requested funding from the Galesburg Public School Foundation.

And the GPSF has answered the bell. They are awarding $2,000 dollars to the school for "The Breakfast Club," which meets every morning from 7:10 to 7:50.

In a news release issued by the GPSF Friday, the foundation states the club has shown outstanding results in the way of increased attendance, homework, grades, and test scores.

An estimated 35 students have regularly sought homework help and guidance.

Churchill Jr. High principal Bart Arthur says the "The Breakfast Club" quote: "Looks forward to hosting another successful program this school year thanks to the generosity of the Galesburg Public Schools Foundation."
