Business Park's Future On The Line
Business opportunities with Logistics Park Galesburg will be before the city council again Monday night.

A recent study released by the Tioga Group last showed alderman that the park would not be best served as a transportation hub.

The Tioga Group had received a $100,000 dollar grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation to research particular business options that would best suit Logistics Park Galesburg. Redevelopment and development opportunities include manufacturing and warehousing industries.

Alderman are expected to prepare a marketing plan for recruitment strategies in bringing in businesses.

Also on the city council's agenda is the purchase of Geomelt products for the upcoming winter season; standard each year to salt away the snowfall.

That's up for approval, and so are repairs for a Galesburg police squad car.

Alderman will meet at 6:30 inside council chambers at city hall.
