Cardinals Fan Braving The Weather In Game One
The Director of Student Life at Carl Sandburg College was lucky enough to see her team pull out a World Series victory Wednesday night just fifteen minutes from where she grew up.

Dylana Carlson says you can see the St. Louis Arch from her hometown of Collinsville. She tells the WGIL Morning News she's pretty pumped after seeing the Cards take game one, and that she was prepared to fight the chilling temperatures.

"It was very cold and I had lots of layers on, and we all had hot hands to stay warm, and we sipped hot chocolate," Carlson said. "It was pretty cold, but maybe not as cold as the home opener, I think it was in 2009, it was really cold then."

Carlson was back at C-S-C for work by noon Thursday. She stayed with her parents overnight in Collinsville before making the track back to Galesburg.

Carlson says she has no current plans to catch a game at Busch Stadium should the Cards return for games 6 and 7. But she says she always willing and ready with her Cardinals gear should the opportunity present itself.
