Schilling Gives GOP Radio Address
The Congressman representing most of Knox County who's also a small business owner has gotten his chance at providing a weekly media address, taking aim at a top priority of a fellow Illinoisan.

17th District Congressman Bobby Schilling gave the Republican Party's weekly radio and internet address Saturday, urging Congress to keep working on job creation.

The Colona Republican and pizza restaurant owner says his party's jobs plans are the ones that will actually work, not the President's.

"Our plan looks at the problem from the view of the small business people, and works to clear out barriers to job creation by addressing excessive regulations, fixing our tax code, and closing loopholes and paying down our debt," Schilling said.

Schilling says another piece of that plan was passed this week in the House: stopping an IRS withholding tax that he claims is bad for businesses that work with the government.

He claims the Obama administration doesn't understand small business owners, alleging the recent stimulus plans are wrong.
