Two Injured In Weekend Warren County Crash
Two Monmouth residents are injured after the car they were in crashed Sunday morning outside Monmouth on U-S 67.

State Police in Macomb say the accident happened around seven a-m Sunday on U-S 67 near 90th Avenue in the northbound lanes.

They say 45-year old Billie Wilson was driving a 1963 Volkswagen Dune Buggy when it went off the right shoulder losing control.

Troopers believe Wilson overcorrected, and ended up in a ditch after rolling over several times, ejecting her and 47-year old Patricia Montgomery.

Wilson and Montgomery were both flown to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center with what were described as critical injuries.

Troopers believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash, and neither Wilson nor Montgomery were wearing seat belts.

Wilson was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Failure to Exercise Due Care.

The two's conditions currently aren't known.
