Still No Full Jury For Attempted Murder Trial
There wasn't any testimony today in the trial of a Galesburg man charged with attempted murder. WGIL's Will Stevenson was in the courtroom most of the day and explains.

There still isn't a full jury seated in 47 year old Sterling Nicholson's trial, despite two days worth of jury selection.
A total of 10 jurors have been selected for now -- 6 women and four men. Nicholson faces three-counts of attempted first-degree murder, and one-count each of Aggravated Battery, and Aggravated Domestic Battery, for the late-January incident in the 200 block of South Whitesboro Street, where Nicholson allegedly seriously assaulted a 41 year old woman he was in a relationship with.
State's Attorney John Pepmeyer says the victim has no memory of the attack, suffering at the time from bleeding on the brain and numerous other injuries throughout her body.
Nicholson was arrested later that day at another home, and he allegedly had swelling on his fist and blood on his clothes when found.
Knox County Circuit Court Judge Paul Mangieri told selected jurors to report to court tomorrow at 10 am, and prospective jurors to be there at 9. It's likely opening statements will take place sometime tomorrow, with the trial itself likely taking the rest of the week.
