Want Inauguration Tickets? Good Luck
Getting an up-close position at the presidential inauguration will require luck like a golden ticket to tour Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

Tickets to the inauguration will be distributed by members of Congress, mostly. U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) says his office has received 8,000 requests -- most for more than one ticket. His allotment is 300.

A member of Durbin's staff says they haven’t yet determined how to decide who will get tickets.

Total ticket distribution will be about 240,000, with accommodations made for the National Mall to handle the non-ticketed overflow with pictures and sound piped in.

President-elect Barack Obama will be inaugurated president on Jan. 20.
