Local Man Misidentified in Arrest Story
POSTED 9:48 a-m 11/7/9 A Galesburg man who WGIL reported as being arrested on drug and weapons related charges was misidentified.

City police reports say officers arrested 29-year old Jon Zefo Thursday around 4 p-m near Michigan Avenue and Adams Street after receiving a tip that he might have illegal drugs on him.

Zefo was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession of a look-alike substance and possession of a weapon by a felon. Authorities say Zefo had a spring-activated knife on him when he was picked up.

A previous news story incorrectly identified the man arrested as Joey Zefo. WGIL apologizes for the error.
